Genevieve covers NEW AFRICAN WOMAN MAG IN GAmbia

GENEVIEVE Nnaji With the release of her new movie The Mirror Boy still grabbing headlines and the world media clamouring for her story, Africa’s answer to movie royalty – à la Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts – Genevieve Nnaji grants New African Woman this exclusive, frank and intimate interview; and doesn’t she tell it as it is! So, what exactly does Africa’s greatest actress in recent years get up to when the cameras are not rolling? Janelle Oswald finds out. Q You are one of the highest-paid and most desired actresses in Nollywood and Africa at large. do you only get out of bed if the price is right? Genevieve: I do pick and choose which films I work on but I’m not motivated by money only. The quality of a script can get me up faster than any cheque because my fans need to be able to watch a good movie. I chose to work on The Mirror Boy because I thought it was a good story and it was something different, as I was starring in a children’s adventure story, and it was being shot in a different city, country and environment .
