Gloria....A Great Heart Found In Glorious Diversity.

Glowreeyah is a kaleidoscope of colours, A plethora of sorts Passionate, Vivacious, Versatile, Hilarious and Warm,She's been known to brand a trademark mega-watt smile.Apart from singing duets and hymns with her as he played the piano, Glowreeyah’s father fondly nick-named her ‘The Bridge’. Perhaps he foresaw her innate ability to relate with ease and connect with people irrespective of their gender, age, race or circumstance.

Gloria's solid church background and appreciation for all genres of music is greatly influenced by her Nigerian multi-tribal family who listened to everything from Classical compositions, African Folk, Pop, Funk, Soul and a whole lot of Jazz. Even while she bopped to Hip-Hop as a teenager, this background left her with a respect for traditional musical hues as well as a desire for more creative interpretations.

For several years, Glowreeyah has been a Lead Vocalist in her local church (House on the Rock) in Abuja and Lagos and has assisted several musical projects of Chosen Treasure, TY Bello and Tehillah Company.

She is also a 9-5 Lawyer, Speaker and a Serial Survivor! She is actively involved in Social Responsibility causes and initiatives/networks that create policy frameworks for Value-based Leadership, Societal Reformation and Youth Empowerment. She is a Script-writer for Sesame Square (Sesame Street Nigeria Productions) a project sponsored by USAID/Ileke Media which currently airs on the Nigerian Television Authority Channel.

Glowreeyah’ Braimah was raised in a Nigerian multi-tribal family – her father is from North-Central Nigeria and her mother was  Igbo. She had interesting background and upbringing. She grew up mostly in Nigeria but also lived for a short while in the United States. Her parents were multi-lingual. This perhaps explains why she speaks Tiv, Ibo, Indian and the like fluently. The parents were also very open, warm and friendly and always had guests over at their home. Whether you were Sri-Lankan or from Jalingo, you were welcome at their abode. They were that hospitable.
Her late mother was a Child Development Specialist while her father was a Director-General for several parastatals in the Federal Civil Service. They had busy schedules but managed to use every available medium to instill in little ‘Glowreeyah’ and her siblings the values of respect for others, hard work, integrity, commitment and a great amount of discipline.
But are there specific influences or experiences she had as a child that contributed to the kind of person she has become today? Braimah responds: “My testimony is evident. I will not say that I have had a perfect, rosy life. However, I choose to dwell on the beautiful, positive memories. The most important influence was the fact that in their own way, my parents honoured God. By routine, 6.30 every morning, the bell for prayers was rung and we would all kneel to worship. From an early age, I was made to understand that our lives are not our own; that we are on earth to accomplish a purpose. My family also valued their friends and did their utmost best to preserve their relationships, even with the passage of time.”
She describes her musical style as a Fusion mirroring her eclectic tastes which reverberates in every song track that you will hear. With all the sunniness that she radiates, Glowreeyah has experienced a myriad of intense challenges in her personal life. Someway, somehow, in the midst of it all, she says with her boundless optimism and that smile…’When the torrents toss you around`, make the most of it, make waves.
Her latest Single 'Turn-Around' received great acclaim on the social media platform within the first few days of release.
Her yet to be released jamming inspirational album is very home-grown. For various years, she has been working with various musicians and producers such as the legendary Cobhams Asuquo, Mike Aremu, Wole Oni, Nathaniel Bassey, Wilson Joel, Jesse Jagz, IBK Spaceship Boi, Rotimikeys, Michael Oladapo etc who have collaborated on this noteworthy project.
This album  is a personal journal of a roller-coaster journey through valleys of immense pain and peaks of desired hope; as she expresses through each track-a tangible love for her Heavenly father, the beautiful complexities of human relationships and living for purpose smack in the face of all odds! ’It’s a fusion! Each song you hear is a slice of the testament of my life-offering my vulnerabilities and the quest for something bigger, something greater, something to live for and somewhere to go’, she shares. May we add, there are a few rib-cracking tracks for good measure.
