Pregnant Man Divorces Wife Of 10 Years.

Thomas Beatie, the transgender man who made headlines as the so-called "pregnant man," in 2008 now says he’s getting divorced to his wife of 10 years, Nancy.

In a daytime exclusive on Anderson Coopers’ show on ABC, Beatie who has given birth to 3 children, said he had met another woman whom he’s happy with and had filed for divorce from his wife Nancy.

Born female, the 34 year old, who has had his breasts surgically removed and legally changed his sex from female to male, made shockwaves around the world in April of 2008 when he revealed on The Oprah Winfrey Show that he was pregnant.

He said that despite years of taking hormones and living outwardly as a man, he retained his female sex organs because he intended to get pregnant some day in future.

"I actually opted not to do anything to my reproductive organs because I wanted to have a child one day. I see pregnancy as a process, and it doesn't define who I am," Beatie told Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking on Anderson Live this past week, Thomas said if he were to get pregnant again he would have to have a caesarian section, though his doctor does not recommend it.
