Show some Respect to Ebele! Stop insulting Jonathan on Facebook – Niger Delta group warns Nigerian youths

A group, under the aegis of the Niger Delta Youth Initiative for Positive Change, has pleaded with Nigerian youth to stop using the social media platform to insult President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to the group; the attitude of abusing leaders was not common in other countries, but in Nigerian, many had taken delight in using offensive words against their leaders.

National Coordinator of the group, Mr. David Ato who made this call while addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital noted that President Goodluck Jonathan had good plans for the country.

While calling on the youth to support Jonathan in order to deliver on his election promises, Ato reminded those insulting the president not to forget that he did not create the economic and political crisis currently being faced by the nation.

His words, "The youth should desist from using abusive words against the President of the country. We should learn how to respect our leaders and we need to support him because we elected him into that office.
"Insulting him on Facebook and other social media is not the best. The truth is that Nigeria has been facing a lot of economic and political problems for a long time. President Jonathan did not create these problems."
