N850million So Far Spent By Benue State Government On World- Bank Assisted Projects At The Grassroots In The Past 4 Years. ! ! !

The Benue State government says it has expended N850million in the last four years on World-Bank assisted rural projects at the grassroots.

General Manager, Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) in the state, Mrs Rebecca Afatyo disclosed this while presenting the scorecard of the agency in Makurdi.

Afatyo said that the agency is presently intervening in 95 communities across the state and that over 300,000 people across the state has benefited from the completed micro projects.

She commended the state government for paying its N100 million counterpart fund, urging both the state and local government areas to continue to support the agency in the onerous task of reducing poverty in the rural communities.

Earlier, Governor Gabriel Suswam applauded the agency for combating poverty and bringing succour to the rural populace.

Represented by his deputy, Chief Steven Lawani, the governor added that the CSDA since its inception in the state has impacted on 159 rural communities.
