Igbo Cultural Support Network Celebrate New Yam Festival In London.

The ICSN Iri Ji (New Yam) Festival 2013 & 15 Year Anniversary Celebration ICSN(Igbo Cultural Support Network) is the UK’s largest networking organisation for young adults of Nigerian Igbo descent.
London’s Igbo community celebrated this year’s new yam festival or Iri Ji which was organised by ICSN at the Petchey Academy in East london.
The festival marks the end of the work cycle when Igbos celebrate good yields and pray for another good planting season for the year ahead.




This year’s Iri Ji Festival was not just solely about honouring Igbo culture, and continuing the legacy of theNew Yam festival, but also about paying homage, and respecting the lineage of their unique organisation ICSN, hence this year’s titled ” ICSN Iri Ji (New Yam) Festival 2013 & 15 Year Anniversary Celebration.
