No More Airport Receptions,Carnivals,And Gatherings In And Around The Airport-I.G.P.



A day after the supporters of Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, allegedly forced their way unto the tarmac of the Port Harcourt Internatioanal Airport, an act described by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, as a security breach,the Nigeria Police Force has banned gatherings, receptions and carnivals in and within all airports across the nation.
A statement by the force spokesman, Mr. Frank Mba, said the ban was part of a deliberate effort aimed at averting any security breach.

“The ban is placed to protect critical infrastructures, travellers and airport staff at the airports,” the statement read.
The directive is coming

The police authorities directed all Airport Command Commissioners of Police and State Commissioners of Police hosting the airport to ensure the effectiveness of the directive.
