President Jonathan Rewards Eaglet Players With N2million Each,And N3million For Each Officials.Who Deserved The Higher Reward ,The Officials Or The Players.

President Goodluck Jonathan  rewarded each member of the Golden Eaglet that won the under 17 championship with two million Naira.

Receiving the eaglets in Abuja yesterday night president Jonathan said their victory was an indication  that Nigeria was on the path of recovery in international sports.

Members of the coaching crew were given three million naira,each by the president who described the victory of the eagles as a pride to the nation and the continent.

The sports minister Bolaji Abdullahi said the  “The golden eaglets is a project in the making. The grace beauty and swagger is Nigerian. Beyond what we have seen is a success in grooming good athletes and good Nigerians.  . They are not excellent athletes but excellent human beings. Winning the World Cup is not the end. It is the beginning” he said.

My thoughts 

Maybe am just been a talkative but i think this amount is too small,considering the way our Government people steal so much money ,haba for small boys like this who made us proud,N10million each wouldnt have been a bad idea or dont you think so?
