Comrade Abba Moro Denies Interest In Benue Guber Elections.

Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro has denied being involved in massive political consultations to promote his aspiration to govern Benue State.
In a press statement signed by his media assistant, George Udoh, Abba Moro said that he is basically interested in serving in Jonathan’s administration.

He argued that the responsibilities of his office are too weighty for him to politic at the moment.
Moro said that whenever he decides to run for office, he has the courage to publicly declare.
We gathered that Moro had to issue the statement following insistence by the Presidency that all ministers willing to contest elections must first resign.

Moro was a governorship aspirant in 2007 under the ruling PDP, but came third in party primary. In 2011, he served as Senate President David Mark’s campaign Director General. His Ministerial nomination was facilitated by Mark.
Beyond the Presidential directive, it remains unclear if Moro now has the political clout to upstage the Tiv Political machine in Benue State, as no Idoma politician has ever ruled in the state.
