Concerned Benue Indigene Slams Benue State House Of Assembly ForApproving N11Billion Bond For BNSG.

The BSHOA yesterday approved an N11billion bond for the state government ,while others see this as a welcome development, others see this as unnecessary ,they are seeking to know how far the Government has serviced the  the N13billion bond the Governor took in 2011.
Here is what a citizen posted on the Ate U Tiv yahoo group.continue to read....

The current crop of PDP controlled Benue house of assembly have secured a tainted legacy for themselves, one defined by shame, betrayal of trust and unbridled timidity.

1,This house has engaged in illicit approval of Bonds without open information or consulting with the people who will ultimately pay the price of underdevelopment.

2,They have in this approved Bonds totaling atleast NGN 24 billion in 8 years without knowledge of the purposes to which such loans are put.

3,They are happy to approve Bonds but abscond from seeking knowledge/oversight on how it is allocated.

It is the House members who should be collectively held accountable mortgaging the state, for without their conspired approval, the bonds cant be accessed for unaccountable purposes.

Lastly, any aspiring Governor who does not first tell us how they intend to deal with this financial entrapment is not worth taking seriously. This black hole is the first challenge they need to tell us how they will overcome before the sweet talk of a new dawn that may never be attainable even in the life time of the next generation.

Bonds are not meant to service recurrent expenditure. They are usually for capital projects that add value and multipliers. You use cuts and frugality to deal with recurrent issues. So what are these projects that need to be completed....
