Gulak Resigns As Jonathan’s National Campaign Coordinator.

Erstwhile political adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, has resigned his position as the national coordinator of Goodluck Support Group (GSG).

The group coordinated all campaign efforts that saw to the emergence of Jonathan as president in 2011 and is already on standby, awaiting the official declaration by the president to seek re-election in 2015.

Gulak, who was sacked on Tuesday with immediate effect as Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, tendered his resignation letter as national coordinator of the group on Friday.

A copy of his resignation letter dated May 2, 2014 and which he addressed to the deputy national coordinator of the group, Eddy Olafeso, was entitled, “Resignation/Disengagement from Goodluck Support Group”.

Although the former presidential aide did not give any reason for throwing in the towel, he urged his deputy to remain steadfast and focused in the mobilisation of all for the need to keep supporting the president in what he described as his sincere and committed effort to take the country to an enviable level of development.
