Body Of Transgender Woman Shot, Killed And Burnt Found By The Police.

The burnt remains of a transgender found behind a vehicle rental facility at 2807 Fowler Street on thursday have been identified by authorities as Eddie James Owens, 31.No arrests have been made in what authorities are calling a homicide.Police say this is an active investigation and they are working aggressively with all leads and tips in order to solve the crime.

According to authorities, Owens' body was found on Thursday at 7:56 am.A witness said she heard screamings and yelling early in the morning.

Her body was found by  Budget rental workers behind the building at about 8 am Thursday.A witness said all that was left on the burned victim was a little bit of shoes.

Several warehouses surrounding the scene where the victim was found have surveillance cameras, and investigators hope they will reveal clues.
