The capital city of Nasarawa, Lafia was a beehive of activities on Saturday 23rd August, 2014 when 2 daughters of the state governor, Alhaji Tanko Almakura, had their wedding fatiha in grand style: Hafsat Tanko-Almakura & Naseer Zakari Yakubu; and Maimuna Tanko-Almakura & Moyi Muhammed Maidunama. The wedding fatiha for the 2 couples started by 11am at the residence of HRH Sarkin Kwandare, Shendam Road in Lafia.



Refreshment followed immediately after the fatiha at the Government House Lawn/Garden (by the Helipad site), Government House, Lafia, while a formal reception held later in the evening in Abuja at the International Conference Center.



The fatiha had in attendance former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari(retd.); ex-FCT minister Mallam El-Rufai; governors, cabinet ministers, judges and legislators.
