Idoma Political Leaders Endorse Senator David Mark For 2015 Zone C Senate Race.
A delegation of Idoma political office holders have endorsed the Senate President David Mark for another term in office. The leader of the delegation, who is also the Chairman, Ogbadibo .local government area of Benue State, Sunday Adah Ojo and other chairmen from zone c unveiled this during their recent visit to the Senate President.Ojo said their visit was necessitated by the immense pressure from citizens and opinion leaders from Benue South Senatorial district to compel Senator Mark to contest the 2015 Senatorial seat .
Ojo stressed that the Idoma nation presently have no better candidate other than Mark adding that the body of the Chairmen and the executives of the Nine Local government councils from the Zone have endorsed the candidature of the Senate President.
He noted the giant strides Senator Mark's representation has brought to the people of the Zone, "the quality representation and stability Senator Mark has rendered to the nation, North central, Benue State and Benue South Senatorial district is unquantified."We are here to deliver the message from the Idoma elders, women, youths and opinion leaders to you that whether you like it or not, you must stand for another term as a Senator representing Benue South in the National Assembly." Ojo said.Ojo listed Senator Mark's dividends of democracy to the zone to include but not limited to road constructions, health, educations, under which scholarships have been awarded to thousands of indigent students across the country, construction and rehabilitation of schools, multipurpose Otobi dam, National Open University complex in the Zone, JAMB centre and many more Federal projects.Also the Chairman, Ado local government area of the State and the Chairman ALGON,Benue South Alex Ogaba commended the Senate President for the stability he brought to Nigerian politics, saying all tiers of government are now working harmoniously for the good of the citizenry.Ogaba assured that the people of the Zone will do everything possible to bring Senator Mark back to the Senate adding that they will stand behind him to ensure his return.
Speaking on behalf of the members from the House of Representatives from Benue South, Hassan Saleh said the Idoma nation is ready to return Senator Mark unopposed in 2015.The delegation included Chairman, Otukpo local government, Dr. Innocent Onuh, his Agatu counterpart Dutse Stephen, OHIMINI's Mark Sunday, Okpokwu's Julie Obeta, Oju's Bright Ogbaji , Apa's Owoicho Oyih, and Obi's Odeh Michael .Members of House of Representatives included; Samson Okwu, Ezeikel Adaji, and Adamu Entonu.
