If there is any privilege that has been abused by various political office holders at the moment, it is that of riding in convoys. The practice of according political leaders the privilege of riding in convoys in the course of carrying out their political activities did not start today. It is a world-wide practice but the degree of its abuse is never the same all over the world. The practice has been in existence for ages. In fact, it has remained one of the most attractive trappings of any top political office, and it is not peculiar to Nigeria as a democratic nation.

This lady,Rabi was a victim of Police brutality today,sunday 31 aug 2014.According to eyewitness,Rabi a married woman,mother of two and an Estate Agent in Lagos was driving along Lekki axis when the Dep Speaker's convoy came in from nowhere and forced her out of the road, Rabi even hit the culverts along the road,angered by this overzealous behaviour on duty,she followed the convoy to find out why they did that to her,this was when the mobile police attached to the dep. speaker came down from their car and started beating Mrs Rabi up,they beat her till she sustained serious injuries on her hand.
Rabi still struggled and followed them up with all the bleeding,she blocked the high way along VGC ,she dropped from her car and blocked the dep speakers car,this incident caused serious commotion on Lekki Epe express way.
Finally,the Police sneaked the dep speaker out of the vehicle,thereby making him escape from Mrs Rabi,to cut this long story short,Rabi has vowed to sue the Dep Speaker ,she is also going to the National Human Rights Commission to lodge her petition for Torture meted out on her ,she did not commit any crime by driving on the roads constructed with tax payers money.
