Update On The Story Of The Stolen Corpse In Benue State.Hon Commissioner Fingered In The Criminal Act.

 

More revelations are coming up on our last story about the missing corpse the Mother of House Of Reps Aspirant Hon Dickson Tarkighir ,Its been revealed that the Benue State Commissioner of Lands and survey Hon John Tondu has been fingered in the criminal act.
According to NigerianPost,the Hon Commissioner bribed a mortuary attendant at the morgue him to take the corpse away.


On the 14th of September 2014,The family of late Tarkighir was thrown  aback following the discovery that the corpse of their mother, Mama Anava Tarkighir was missing.
The deceased  body was initially deposited at the Bishop Murray Hospital in Makurdi, the Benue State but  when the family turned up to remove the body for burial, they discovered to their dismay that the body was no longer in the hospital’s morgue located close to the hospital  gate.
News immediately went viral that one Hon Tarkighir stole the corpse for rituals.

Dickson Tarkighir who is the  stepson of the deceased told NigerianPeoplesPost in a telephone chat that the woman died while on admission at the hospital and her body was deposited in the morgue pending time of burial.

The Nigeria Police,however denied knowledge of the missing corpse. Another police source said, “ yes we arrested three people at the hospital. They have made comments, but I will not tell you what they have said because investigations on the matter are still on”

Hon Dickson Tarkghir and Hon John Tondu are contesting for House of Reps Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency.Both of them are foot soldiers of Gov Suswam but the rivalry between them is something else.

Before the said “confessions” by the mortician, Tongues have been wagging that Dickson’s opponents for the Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituencies seat race might be responsible for the missing corpse.
When contacted ,Dickson said he is aware of the allegations but said he is not looking at the missing corpse in that regard.
“I am not accusing anybody. Whatever is their motive is between them and God. I have no problem with anybody. My concern is the hospital and they will bring back the corpse.”

Mr John Tondu could not be reached because his phones were switched off, but one of his close allies who talked to Nigerian Peoples Post in Makurdi said,” these are just lies. It is only unfortunate that someone will want to bring a refined gentleman like John Tondu into this mess. At a point like this, we need to stand by the deceased family and ensure that we get to the root cause of this mystery. It is very wrong to play politics with the missing corpse”.
