Malala Yousafzei Breaks Record To Emerge As The Youngest Nobel Peace Prize Recipient.

Malala Yousafzei has been named the youngest recipient ever of the Nobel Peace Prize.
On Friday morning, the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the highly esteemed honor to both Pakistan's Yousafzei and India's Kailash Satyarthi "for their struggles against the suppression of children and young people for the right of all children to education."

Yousafzei was became globally known two years ago when she was shot in the head by the Taliban, yet continued to promote and campaign for education for girls. "Through her heroic struggle, she has become a leading spokeswoman for girls' rights to education," chairman Thorbjorn Jagland said. Last year, Yousafzai was said to be the favorite, but lost to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Kailash Satyarthi, 60, has lead peaceful protests focusing on the exploitation of children for financial gain. "He has also contributed to the development of important international conventions on children's rights," the committee said.
Malala was also in Nigeria to agitate for the release of the Chibok girls kidnapped in April by a muslim terror group known as Boko Haram.

Congrats to her.
