BENSESA Dismantles Campaign Billboards Of Suswam,Jonathan And OtherPoliticians In Makurdi.

Disturbed by the defacing of public buildings and structures with campaign posters and banners in major towns across the state, the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency (BENSESA) has begun the removal of such posters as well as the dismantling of campaign bill boards of political aspirants, among them President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Gabriel Suswam.

Dressed in T-shirts with the inscription , BENSESA, the officials of the agency yesterday moved round the streets of Makurdi, the state capital, removing the many bill boards and campaign posters in a bid to give the state a facelift.
The officials said the scattering of campaign posters and bill boards all over the place had fostered a dirty outlook on Makurdi and other major towns in the state capital and vowed henceforth to disallow such practice.
It was gathered that following a report that President Goodluck Jonathan was expected in the state to celebrate with Governor Suswam on his 50th birthday, the general manager of BENSESA, Ediga Akpa directed the staff of the agency to immediately go to work to rid the major roads and streets of anything that constituted an ugly sight.
Campaign posters and bill boards of all the aspirants adorn the Wurukum and low level roundabouts as well as the walls of major public structures. It was learnt that the order was such no aspirant’s campaign posters and bill boards should be spared.
