PSC Set To Investigate Suswam's ADC Over Alleged Gun Running WorthN3.7bn And Abuse Of Office.

According to NigerianPilot. There are strong indications that the top hierarchy of the Nigerian police force in conjunction with the Police Service Commission, PSC, will soon begin interrogation of the Aide De Camp, ADC to Governor Gabriel Suswam, DSP Dickson Orlu Pawa over alleged gun running and abuse of office.

A highly placed source at the PSC told Nigerian Pilot Sunday that the embattled ADC sometime in 2011 was allegedly arrested during the election to the National Assembly with some cache of arms in Katsina/Ala local government area of Benue state.

He was allegedly arrested for being in possession of large cache of arms which he was subsequently interrogated on at the state police headquarters in Makurdi.

The source further added that the matter which was transferred to the then chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Parry Osayande rtd. was not giving attention, but the new chairman of PSC IGP Mike Okiro rtd and the department of discipline and investigation of the commission are currently reviewing the petition and the case file against the ADC.

According to our source, trouble started for the embattled deputy superintendent of police, DSP Dickson Orlu Pawa when one of the ruling peoples Democratic Party, PDP member allegedly wrote a petition to the Luis Edet House and the PSC alleging that the uniform man owned a filling station in Makurdi the state capital located in North Bank called MPK mega station.

He said that the petitioner also alleged that DSP Pawa owned several businesses, properties and investments worth over N3.7bn within and outside Nigeria.

Nigerian Pilot Sunday can report authoritatively that governor Gabriel Suswam had a month ago ordered his ADC to resign his appointment for allegedly being partisan in politics as well as eyeing the chairmanship of Katsina/Ala local government council elections coming up in April 2015 while still in service as a police officer.

Nigerian pilot Sunday also gathered that the high command of the force is considering posting the embattled Aide De Camp to either Osun state or Ogun state to resume duty there as a police officer.

When Nigerian Pilot Sunday contacted the senior special Assistant to governor Suswam on media, Mr. James Oloko he said that he has no such information but if the ADC has allegedly resigned, it must be a general police routine exercise.

But the Commissioner of Police, Benue state command, Mr. Hyacinth Dagala confirmed to Nigerian Pilot Sunday, that the embattled ADC had written to him and the governor a month ago notifying them of his resignation.

He said that the resignation letter is still on his table but he has not approved it because the procedure Mr. Dickson Orlu Pawa took was wrong.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Pawa still remains the Aide De Camp to Governor Suswam because the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mr. Abba, the governor himself or him the CP has not approved his request.
