Chief Ortom Admits Rigging While In PDP,Charges APC Supporters To BeVigilant In The Next General Elections.
AS the campaign for next month elections heats up across the country, former Minister of State for Trade, Investment and Industry, Chief Sam Ortom who is also the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Benue State has called on his supporters to be vigilant and not allow Peoples Democratic Party PDP to rig the party out in next general elections.
Ortom, who was addressing party supporters at Smile View Hotel, Makurdi, at the weekend, told the crowd to remember the tricks of PDP during election ‘which most of us were part of.”
“Now we have to shine our eyes so that we will not be beaten by their antics, we have to encourage our people to monitor their votes which this time we have to do legally. Remember we were all into the business together when in PDP, but now let us monitor them very well and guide our votes jealously”, he said.
The guber candidate promised to embark on industrialisation to add value to the different sectors and thereby generate employment, wealth and other opportunities for the teeming youths as well as the elders of the state.
Ortom said he does not need a tutorial to take off as governor and urged the people not to be deceived by the antics of the PDP.
“I started as a motor park tout. People always say I downgrade myself anytime I tell that story. But I think the story of my life is to give inspiration to those who find themselves in the position I found myself years ago,” Ortom stressed.
The APC guber candidate also disclosed that all was being done to resolve the ongoing crises in the party.
