Benue APC Guber Candidate And Former Trade Minister Chief Samuel Weeps Uncontrollably During Campaign,





According to a report on social media,the APC guber candidate Chief Samuel Ortom today wept openly before the church while  addressing the clergy and laity under the auspices of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, at St Jude's Catholic Parish, Otukpo in the morning ,Ortom he suddenly broke down and wept uncontrollably.


His running mate, Engr Benson Abounu, and CAN coordinator, Rev Fr Emmanuel Udufu, made frantic efforts to calm Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State.
Chief Dr Ortom lamented the collapse of all government institutions in the state and
the attendant hardship on the people including non payment of salaries and pensions.
The candidate's tender hardheartedness erupted when he mentioned some families who labored and sponsored several children through the university only for them to end up them at home with them under the ravages of poverty and disease because they were unemployed.
He noted that God had heard the prayers of the church against corruption and has sent the APC to rescue the nation and appealed to the people to seize the opportunity and vote massively for candidates of the party.

According to him corruption was a canker-worm which had eaten deep into the current leadership in the country in general and the state in particular causing the diversion of public funds into private pockets with public officials and their cronies feeding fat and acquiring property everywhere at the expense of the people.
He attributed the non payment of salaries and pensions to the development and pledged that his administration would rectify the anomaly.
Chief Dr Ortom promised to partner with the church to propel development and entrench core values such as transparency, justice, honesty, accountability, forgiveness, reconciliation, which he said would enhance unity, peace and progress.
According to him he was seeking election so that he could execute God's counsel in the state.
The former Minister of State, Industry, Trade, and Investment, pledged that if given the mandate his administration would add value on all sectors but priority would be industrialization, boosting of commercial and trading activities and attraction of investment into the state.
He said such initiatives and several creative ideas outside the box would reduce the burden on government and generate jobs and wealth.
In Orokam, Ogbadibo local government area he stated at the APC rally that the Owukpa coal deposits and abundant palm trees in the area will be exploited to generate power and processed to add value to provide economic empowerment for the people of the area.
The former Minister promised the people that the change being canvassed was genuine and targeted at bringing the people of the state from the brink, restoring sanitary, and moving forward.
Leader of the party in the Benue South senatorial district and former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, national chairman, Chief Audu Ogbe, stated that by abandoning the people - oriented programs fashioned by the founding fathers the party had outlived it's usefulness and must be voted out.
He presented Chief Dr Ortom and his running mate, Engr Benson Abounu, as well as the senatorial candidate, Comrade Daniel Onjeh at the occasion.





i don't get it,he saw all these while in PDP and never wept ,now this is were i have issues with these change agenda......oh please !
