A former chairman of Yaba local council development area (LCDA), Hon. Jide Jimoh has said the introduction of almajiri schools by the federal government in the north is an insult to the northerners, insisting that befitting and modern schools should have been built.
Addressing a press conference yesterday at his constituency office in Lagos, Jimoh said, "The almajiri schools that President Jonathan counted as part of his achievement is an insult to the northerners. Why would a government build such schools and count it as part of his achievement? I see it as an insult".
The Ex-Chairman who is contesting for the Federal House of Representatives, Lagos Mainland Constituency under All Progressives Congress (APC) maintained that all hands must be on deck to change the system, saying if PDP remains in power, Nigerians will regret it.
