#Suswam Files Petition Against Gemade's Election At The ElectionTribunal Sitting In Makurdi.





Outgoing Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam who lost gallantly to Senator Barnabas Gemade of APC at the National Assembly polls has filed a petition at the National and State Legislative Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Makurdi against Sen. Barnabas Gemade'selection.


While Gemade  scored 140,715 votes to retain his seat the  Suswam got 118,803.
But Governor Suswam after declaration of the result had alleged that the election was flawed with a lot of irregularities, claiming that elections were out rightly cancelled in 3 council wards of Logo local government area, 2 in Konshisha and 1 in Vandeikya which affected results of the election in favor of Gemade, adding that over 128,000 voters were disenfranchised.
Similarly, five (5) other aggrieved candidates have filed petitions at the tribunal which is expected to commence sitting soon.

Speaking with journalists, the counsel to Governor Gabriel Suswam, Andrew Wombo said his client scored the highest number of votes in the March 28,
