3 Benue State House Of Assembly PDP Members Set To Decamp To APC.
Three members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the Benue state House of Assembly risk losing their seats as they defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).The APC has 14 members while PDP and Labour Party (LP) have 15 and one member respectively.
The move is coming at the heels of the suspension of 12 members of the APC. Daily Independent gathered that as the Speaker of the House, Terkimbi Ikange announces their defections on the floor of the house today (Thursday) they may lose their seats.Sources in the assembly told D. I that the issue of their defection may come up as part of announcements from the OrderPaper today as a ploy to throw the PDP off balance.
The ploy Daily Independent also learnt is to read out letters allegedly written by three members that have defected to the APC which will give the APC the opportunity to take the position of
Majority Leader.
