50 Feared Dead as Bomb Blast Rocks Abattoir in Maiduguri.

At about 12.35 pm today, a bomb exploded at Maiduguri abattoir in Borno state.

DAILY TRUST reports that the blast went off at a commercial toilet facility within the abattoir just when the butchers were cleaning up after the day's job. 

Butcher Tanko Mahauchi said, ''The bomb was kept in a bag near the rest house and the owner pretended as if he wanted to ease himself. Many people were killed when the bomb exploded and many others sustained serious injuries''.

Reuters is reporting that atleast 50 persons have been killed by the blast.
