Benue FirstLady Performs First Assignment,Commissions First Fertility Hospital In Makurdi.

Wife of the Governor of Benue and FirstLady of the state ,Chief (Mrs) Eunice Ortom has  commissioned  the First Fertility Hospital in Benue State.

The fertility hospital was set up to tackle cases of infertility and other related health problems in men and women, as well as, discouraging Medical tourism abroad.

The commissioning is also infulfilment of one of the agenda's of the governor's  resolve to reduce poverty through provision of an enabling environment for health services by encouraging  private sector participation in Health Care Delivery system.

The commissioning of First Fertility  Hospital Makurdi  is the dawn of a new era in the health sector with the administrations resolve to boost health, social economic activities in the state.

The First Fertility Hospital is located in Makurdi,Benue with Dr Steve Hwande as Medical Director.

The First Lady was accompanied on the visit by Mrs Elizabeth Shuluwa and others on her entourage.

The commissioning is her first assignment.
