Face Of Frontline Politician Who Was Shot In Katsina Ala Today . Chief Hindan Atoza.

Chief Hon Hindan Atoza was shot by gunmen men today in Katsina Ala, he had visited his site to inspect some construction work when some unknown Gunmen pulled up from nowhere and fired shots at him as he was trying to leave the site.



Late Hindan Atoza is a Frontline Politician "He came to limelight in 1979 when he won elections into the state House of Assembly representing Katsina-Ala state constituency on the platform of the defunct National Party of Nigeria, NPN. He was Chairman of the Committee on Local Government, Youth and Sports of the assembly who created 318 districts in the old Benue before they proceeded for the 1983 general elections.

While the executive recommended 224, the Committee  Atoza Hindan increased it by 94. The committee said it took into consideration, the homogeneity and metropolitan nature of the areas demanding the districts. It was this template that Gen Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha used in creating new local governments in subsequent exercises."
