Mandela's Grandson Charged With Raping A 15 Year Old Girl In The Toilet.

The grandson of Nelson Mandela was arrested at the weekend for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl at a popular Johannesburg restaurant in Greenside last Friday.

According to the Daily Sun, the teen went to the toilet when Mandela’s grandson, who can’t be named before he appears in court, grabbed her and raped her inside one of the toilets.

Upon learning of the alleged rape, the girl’s father attempted to open a criminal case but was intimidated by Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s bodyguard.


Madikizela-Mandela apparently asked the girl’s family to give her family time to deal with the issue.This morning, the case stood down as his legal team tried to secure a letter from the station commander at Parkview Police station‚ that would allow him to be held there until his bail application on Friday. 


According to police spokeswoman Brigadier Mashadi Selepe‚ the alleged incident happened at a well-known restaurant in Greenside on August 7.

“The victim said that on that night‚ she was there with her friends‚ and the accused was there with his‚” said Selepe.The alleged rape took place‚ said Selepe‚ when the victim went to the toilet and was followed by the accused. She added that the alleged incident took place in a cubicle.The victim is 15 years old and is considered a minor. The accused is facing a schedule 6 classified crime. 


Selepe said that the victim was physically examined on Friday August 14 when the case was opened. The accused was arrested on Friday and was held over the weekend at Parkview police station.
