Robbers Attack Customer At First Bank In Makurdi.

                             

A five man robbery gang on Tuesday at about 2pm snatched a bag containing a huge sum from a bank

customer who had just stepped out of First Bank in the North Bank area of Makurdi, the state capital.

The robbers used a Toyota Camry Sedan to carry out their operation while trying to escape, Policemen stationed at Balcony Parks and Gardens got a tip-off from some
motorcycle riders (Okada) and intercepted them along Otukpo road.
After a serious gun battle, two members of the gang were
arrested and taken to the state police headquarters. while three escaped, and over N2 million recovered from them.

                      

   

Meanwhile in another incident same day at about 5:40am according to Benue.com.ng, a lady was also robbed off her belongings at gunpoint while returning home from studying
overnight in school. Residents terrified by these occurrences are calling for
increased surveillance by security personnel to protect their lives and properties in Makurdi.
