A man in the United Kingdom has been arrested for killing his girlfriend by stuffing her into a suitcase and throwing her into a canal alive.The 38-year-old man identified as Tomasz Kocik who worked as a forklift driver has been found guilty of murdering his 23-year-old girlfriend, Marta Ligman.

He commited the crime after days of bingeing on drugs and rough sex.
The crazed man then beat up his 5ft 2inches tall girlfriend, stuffed her into a suitcase and threw her into the Grand Union Canal, while she was still alive.
Her body was found 10 days after the incident when the occupants of a boat collided with the suitcase.

Post-mortem tests showed the young woman died from hypothermia.
Kocik in his defense claimed he found Marta dead in his apartment after several days of amphetamine fueled bondage sex sessions.
