Nasarawa PDP Reconvenes To Review Causes Of Election Defeat.



Nasarawa State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has convened the first meeting to look into the root causes of its failure at the last elections to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The main agenda, according to the party is to take steps towards its resuscitation, beginning with a diagnosis of the facts behind their failure in the last poll and how to retake the state from APC.

Speaking shortly in an interview with pressmen after the committee submitted its fact finding report, the secretary to the PDP’s Board of Trustee (BOT) Senator Walleeb Jubril, said, the fact finding committee has set up at national level to ascertained the reasons behind party failure during last poll general election in the country added that; Nasarawa State also done the same to regain her lost glory in the state.
“Like at the national level where committee has been set up to find how PDP lost at last general election, in Nasarawa State the committee was also set up to come out with fact finding on how we can plan to regained our lost hope in the state, ” Jubril said.
Also speaking, with pressmen, the defeated governorship candidate of People Democratic Party ( PDP) Alhaji Yusuf Agabi said despite the defeat at last poll in the state he still remains in PDP, added that the party is going to strategise and unite her members and work towards the victory of the party in the state.
The defeated candidate who appreciated the effort of fact finding committee, said that the committee has done very well, adding that the party caucus will look at and work on the committee report, with a view to correcting some of the mistakes made in the past.
Agabi called on PDP supporters not to demoralize as effort is on to fixed the party right towards 2019.
The meeting had in attendance all PDP Caucus members, including Secretary to PDP Baord of Trustee, Senator Walleeb Jubril, the defeated PDP Candidate Alhaji Yusuf Agabi, party chairman Yunana Iliya and others.
