Abubakar Tsav Accuses Ortom,Akume And Prof Ugba Of Making Merry On Christmas Day Instead Of Mourning Late Tor Tiv.

Former commissioner of police Alh Abubakar Tsav has called out the Benue state gov,Samuel Ortom,Sen.George Akume and Prof Steve Ugba for what he regarded as disrespect for late Tor Tiv Orchivirigh Alfred Akawe Torkula , who is yet to be buried. In his message which was shared on Facebook by one Ben Bem Bemson Richard,he admonished the Gov who is even an inlaw in the Torkula family for defiling the TTC directive and leading Akume and other politicians to dance Cat Dance on Christmas day in Gbajimba.....Continue to read his message.

As a mark of respect and honor for the late Tor Tiv His Majesty the Begha u Tiv Dr Alfred Akawe Torkula CFR, the Tiv Traditional Council directed that all celebrations in Tiv land be suspended or low keyed until His Royal Majesty is buried. In compliance with this, the Mzough U Tiv convention which was to hold during this period was suspended until the burial of the Tor Tiv is conducted. Katsina Ala Old Boys Association which was to celebrate the centenary anniversary of Government College Katsina Ala during the same period also suspended this celebration as a mark of honor for the late Paramount Ruler of the Tiv Nation. The Governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom whose daughter is married to Late Tor Tiv's son, defied the TTC directive and led some politicians among whom were Sen Akume, Prof Steve Ugba, the SSS etc to CAT DANCE (Tsue-Tsele) festival and merriment at Gbajimba the home LGHqtrs of the late Tor Tiv on Christmas Day.While his daughter was mourning in the Palace of the Tor Tiv, Gov Ortom was virtually dancing on the grave of the late Tor Tiv. Disareding the late monarch and Tiv culture. This is an abomination unheard of in Tiv land. These are the type of irresponsible and heartless leadership we now have in Tiv land. The late Tor Tiv is being disrespected even in death. O God redeem the Tiv People.
