Buhari Is Not Responsible For Economic & Infrastructural Decay,Unemployment – Mike Omeri

Mr Mike Omeri

The Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr Mike Omeri, has said that the economic and infrastructure decay, political neglect and unemployment currently facing the country was not caused by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said every part of the country is affected in one way or the other by the many challenges which government is presently battling to bring solutions to.

Omeri stated this yesterday at a press briefing on “Threat of Succession, Herdsmen vs Farmers Clashes, Communal Clashes and Violence Across Nigeria,” held in Abuja.
Against the popular perception that federal government appointments made so far by President Buhari only favours the North, Omeri said: “Anyone who cares to check will find out that the North-West, where President Buhari hails from does not enjoy undue patronage in terms of federal government appointments in the present dispensation”.

He further stated that as a critical part of the change agenda of the current administration, President Buhari is working assiduously towards changing the perception of “it is our turn to chop mentality” and to refocus national attention and resources on the greater good of all component of Nigeria.”
According to him, “There is no better time in the history of our country to embrace change than this period of change mantra of the ruling government. Change means change from hatred to love, it means change from violence to peace, from kidnapping to being our brothers keepers, from vengeance to dialogue”.
