‘I never set eyes on Dasuki throughout his tenure’ – Bode George

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy National Chairman, Bode George, says he never met former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, throughout his tenure.
Dasuki is being investigated for his role in the alleged diversion of $2 billion, meant for the procurement of arms and military equipment for the armed forces.

It was revealed on Thursday, that Bode George and a former Rivers state governor, Peter Odili, received N100 million apiece from the diverted $2 billion.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, is believed to be investigating George and Odili over their roles in the scandal.

Others currently detained by the EFCC over the arms deal are: former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki; Chairman Emeritus of Daar Communications, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa and former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda.
Reacting to the allegations, Bode George released a statement through Prof. Tejumade Akitoye–Rhodes, of Lagos Collectives, saying he never received any money from Dasuki.

“For the record, Chief Bode George did not collect a farthing from Dasuki or anybody else whatsoever.

He has never even set eyes on the former NSA throughout his tenure in office talk less of collecting money from him. Dasuki of course is very much alive to corroborate this position,” the statement said.
