[PHOTOS] Meet Olufunmilola Obe The First African Inspector In The NewYork Police Department
Nigerian-born Olufunmilola Obe has been promoted to the rank of an Inspector, becoming the first African to rise to that position in the history of the New York Police Department, NYPD.
Obe while still a Deputy Inspector in 2014 was named the new commander of the 28th Precint of the New York Police Department and now, she has attianed such great feats.
She joined the New York City Police Department in 1994, became a Sergeant in 2000, a Lieutenant in 2005, a Captain in 2008 and a Deputy Inspector in 2012.
