Snoop Dog Has A 17 Year Old Son From A High School Fling?

Back in 2007, it was discovered that Snoop Dogg had a son with former high school fling Laurie Holmond. Julian Broadus was only 9 years old at the time and after paternity was established, it seemed like Snoop sounded sincere about being a part of his life. Fast forward 8 years later, Fameolous checked in to see if he was able to establish a relationship with his father. In an exclusive interview, Julian says that Snoop hasn’t been involved in his life and the last time he saw him was 2014, describing their connection as “far below average”. 

Despite that, he says his mother is very strong and does all she can for him, something he deeply appreciates. When asked what he would say to Snoop now, the 17-year-old says, “I’m almost a grown man so my mind isn’t as heavy as it used to [be].” Julian is deeply enthusiastic about his music, although it didn’t start out that way. 

His first love was poetry. He recalls his mother buying him all of Shel Silverstein’s books, noting that the rhyme schemes intrigued him. Soon enough, he was writing his own poetry which eventually developed into lyrics. Julian says, “I’ve always knew music was what my life was really about, but I pushed it away trying not to be like my father. But I got older and stopped pushing it away and I’ve never felt better or more passionate about something”. We look forward to hearing his music and wish Julian and his mother nothing but the best.
