Call it the crème de la crème of Benue South politics and you will be right. The roll call of those in attendance at the “informal dinner” put together for elders and political stakeholders of the Idoma nation by the state number two citizen, Engr. Benson Abounu fits the bill of “who is who” in the zone.Here are a few of the pictures of the night in which Governor Samuel Ortom made a special appearance.

Lawrence Onoja (rtd), former minister of State, Education, Prof Jerry Agada, Senator Godwin Okpe, Chief Baba Odangla, Gen. Sani Eheda (rtd), Gen. Harrison Adoga (rtd), Col. Adulugba (rtd) Chief Sylvester Ameh, Chief Sylvanus Elagbaje, Chief John Igomu, Engr. Ada Chenge, Chief Agada Igomu, Comrade Abba Yaro, Engr. Okpe Onah, Chief John Enyi, Rt. Hon. Sunday Oche, the list is simply endless; the very top echelon in politics of Benue South Senatorial district.
It was a rousing atmosphere full of conviviality, welcoming backslaps and frank discussion.
Convinced that taking the area to a higher height of development requires concerted effort, the elders sat down to discuss what needs to be done to accelerate the pace of development of the senatorial zone.
One word that continued recurring throughout the discussion was unity; the need for unity among the people. Engr. Abounu who stressed the need for unity of action in the actualisation of any development plans for the people was specially commended by the elders for his sterling leadership qualities, his doggedness and commitment to the unity and development of the senatorial district.
They commended the Samuel Ortom administration for its modest achievements in the face of excruciating financial situation facing the country and pledged the support of the Idoma nation to the success of the administration.
