Ex- NBA president, Joseph Daudu plans to divorce wife due to unresolved issues.

A former Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) president, Joseph Daudu (SAN) plans to divorce his wife, Abosede who is also a lawyer.Daudu filed a divorce petition against his wife due to an unresolved issue that has been going on for years, seeks for the dissolution of the marriage.


The couple who got married on October 24, 1987 in Zaria, had been having issues in the marriage but had kept it secret.

According to the details of the court processes filed by Daudu at the Kaduna state high court in July, the marriage has broken down irrevocably and the prospect of reconciliation was non- existent.

Daudu personally signed the petition, on the ground that the marriage has broken down, because the couple had been living apart for three years.


“The petitioner and respondent have not lived under the same roof or related as husband and wife since march 30, 2013″. The petitioner does not intend to resume cohabitation with the respondent”.

According to the 15-paragraph affidavit filed in support of the petition, deposed to by Daudu, the marriage is blessed with six children. The petitioner is also praying the court for an order of joint custody of the last child of the family, who is 15-years old.

Meanwhile, the prominent Nigerian Jurist son Paul Dauda, got married to Victoria Minimah on July 16th,  in Abuja. The event which took place at International Conference Center was graced by Nigerian bar Association president Augustine Alegeh, SAN‎, A. B Mamoud, SAN, Mazi Afam Osigwe General Secretary, NBA, Barr. Silas Onu and so many other dignitaries.


 Daudu who began his law career in 1980, the same year he was call to the bar. On August 2010, was elected as President of the Nigeria Bar Association, a position he held until he was succeeded by Okey Wali on July 2012.

Just recently, popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage granted an interview where she claimed that her husband was not only a cheat but was an irresponsible man who stole from her. Although other entertainers have pleaded with both parties to let peace reign for the sake of their son, Jamil. Tiwa has made it known that the marriage is over.
