The 24th annual convention of MUTA started today in St Louis Missouri,USA.This year's convention which has as its theme  ''The Tiv Nation in the Era of Change'',will start on  August 4th to August 7th, 2016 at the Doubletree Hotel at St Louis at Westport 1973 Craigshire. 

The Governor of Benue state ,Chief Samuel Ortom who is represented by his Senior Special Assistant On Diaspora,Pastor Peter Ichull,in his welcome address  called on tiv people in diaspora to remember that,home is always home and enjoined them to think of home always,think of Benue, and as they think,they should look into their hands to see what God might have placed there for them to use as economic blessings for their fatherland back in Africa.

Dignitaries at the ongoing MUTA Convention include General Atom Akpera and his wife Senator JKN Waku,General S.G Ikya and his wife,Chief Mrs Keziah Agundu among others.

MUTA is a Non governmental organisation that seeks to create and/or support activities that will strengthen social, cultural, economic and scientific development of the TiV people of Nigeria, their members in the United States of America and elsewhere in the Diaspora, and the people of other nations by promoting the exchange of cultural, scientific and technological innovations for the benefit of the Tiv.
