Incredible pictures show hundreds of Chinese parents sleeping in 'tents as they send their children to university.

Starting university can be a daunting time for both parents and children especially if they have spent little time apart from each other.
However one university in China has come up with a way to tackle separation anxiety, by allowing parents to sleep in tents on campus for a few days, reports Huanqiu, an affiliation with the People's Daily Online.
Tianjin University in north-east China have been providing tents for the past four years to parents who want to ensure their children are fully settled in.

Pictures emerged showing hundreds of tents, billed as 'tents of love' by Chinese media', were set up in the university's sports hall during the last week of August.
Feng Shujun, Chief Curator of the event told reporters that parents finding it difficult to locate accommodation during the settling in period are allowed to stay for three days in the sports hall.

The parents were also given access to showers and toilets during their time in the university's gymnasium.

Mats, drinking water and cups were also on offer for parents.
The university asked parents to inform them of their intent to stay before their arrival in order to provide them with enough tents and fresh towels.
