The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2016 took place Sunday night 6th of November until the wee hours of 7thNovember.
Hosted by South African media personality Bonang Matheba, Moroccan singer Ahmed Soultan and Congolese TV Broadcaster and celebrity Ika Jang this year’s awards took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island, Lagos.
The awards was attended by important dignitaries including Governor of Lagos State Akinwunmi Ambode, Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed and others.
Celebrities present at the event included King Sunny Ade, Ali Baba, Eniola Badmus, Miss Vimbai, Victoria Kimani, Denrele Edun, Emma Nyra, Osas and Gbenro Ajibade, Seyi Shay and many more!
The night saw performances from famous African artists while top winners of the night were Wizkid, Falz, Phyno, Diamond Platnumz, Flavour, Aramide. A Special Recognition Award was awarded to King Sunny Ade.
