LOBI STARS FC:. Open letter to Governor Samuel Ortom.By A Concerned Citizen.
.
Your Excellency Sir,
During your campaign periods and after been sworn in as the executive governor of our dear state benue you always emphasized on the need of creating employment for benue youths which is one of best avenues of doing away with social vices amongst the youths your government is seriously working on and I commend you sincerely for that.
Your excellency sir, I will like to draw your attention to Lobi stars fc which is supposed to be another good channel of assisting you in your good intentions of bettering the lives of benue youths , you need to most thoroughly beam your search light on Lobi stars some of our benue youths so full of God's given football talents are been badly victimised, punished, and frustrated out of Lobi stars unnecessarily for reasons that can easily be corrected and these are the kinds of wicked treatments that if not properly checked can so easily push the youths into engaging themselves in social vices out of frustration which I know your government is against and which you have created amnesty programme.
Sir, heaven knows I am not a tribalistic person but one fact I do know is, even constitutionally a state government own enterprise (especially the one that offers employment) 90 percent of It's employees are supposed to be indigenes of that state though in football it might be different but not when the state itself has aboundants of talented players roaming about the streets in frustration like the case in benue state here.
Sir, to mention but a few, Daniel Atsaka, Terkaa Melai, Timothy Imenger, but let me leave Timothy Imenger out this so that some funny persons might not view me as been sentimental because he is my younger brother, though I will brief you about him quickly. He is such a great Football talent our state owned club shouldn't be frustrating, he was discovered by the former Lobi stars vice chairman (the most serious Dominic Iorfa) some few years back during a grassroot football inter - Local governments competition organised by then the first lady of benue state arch, Dooshima Suswam, where he did not only emerged as the highest goalscorer of the competition with 9 goals, but also emerged as the most valuable prayer of the tournament which he was presented with a TV set and a fat envelope by his excellency your predecessor Dr Gabriel Torwua Suswam, @ macaty stadium now Lobi stars stadium and was signed by Lobi stars where he was one the players that played caf continental for Lobi stars that in his first professional season . Daniel Atsaka and Terkaa Melai, both very active young footballers still in their primes have sacrificed their lives so very deeply for Lobi stars to be where it is today, your excellency sir this was when the so called big names brought from outside now never knew a club like Lobi stars fc was existing but today sir these our two benue great talents are been frustrated and humiliated in Lobi stars fc. Melai, I heard has left Lobi stars to Niger tornadoes all in pains and frustration, credit to God for the strong heart his given him to take the bull by the horn by leaving Lobi stars.
As for Atsaka, oooohhh my heart bleeds anytime I think of the frustration this young talent is facing from his own biological state club, the club he almost sacrificed his educational pursuit for, the club he stood in for that was left with 90minutes to go for relegation in a last match of the 2012 - 2013 season against the then mighty kano pillars (that were defending champions then) and saved Lobi stars with his brilliant reflexes from going down lower division today he is been treated this way for very shallow excuses.
You excellency sir, I am a very social person full of social activities, I mix a lot and continuously I see some none indigenous Lobi stars players do more of this social outings like night clubbings and other stuff like that yet no one carry's out any punishment on them in Lobi stars but if it's any of our home boys (except a few) it's serious trouble. I am not against putting someone right when he or she is going wrong but this corrections should be equal and not with personal hatred.
I have never seen where Atsaka, has missed training for Lobi stars because of he was out last night and couldn't get up early the next day to come to training yet he is been victimised in Lobi stars for baseless reasons best known to them, today as I write you this Lobi stars are Ijebu Ode, preparing for the next season Atsaka, and Timothy, are not with them, and this is a preparation that sharpen players for the commencement of a new season yet after the coach might have perfected his programmes, and everything for the new season without these two boys and return back home with these boys not been in his programme someone will want them to be giving 1million commitment to trainings they are not always featured in is not fair at all and God is watching from a distance. As for you Atsaka, that my heart bleeds for most, as I have always told Timothy, in the house be strong never give up God is still on his throne watching in due time you shall be vindicated and he will lift you up highly.
Finally your excellency sir, I might not have the eloquence to address this letter the way it should be for your proper understanding but bear with me I am a political science graduate not English language graduate. Thank you very much for your ever ready support to Lobi stars which as a result last took us to 5th position on the league table and I trust with more of your support this coming new season Lobi stars fc will surely win a continental ticket. I do pray and hope some of my friends on Facebook here who have access to you will help convey this letter to you.
