On the deplorable level of Major Township/State/Federal roads in Benue State and the call for immediate rehabilitation by Mkor Aondona

#MY INFORMED MIND ON THE DEPLORABLE LEVEL OF MAJOR TOWNSHIP/STATE/FEDERAL ROADS IN BENUE STATE AND THE NON IGNORABLE REALITY FOR IMMEDIATE REHABILITATION

It is indeed becoming a source of worry ,eye sore and life threatening situation to road users,commuters and the like over the deplorable level of major township/state/federal roads in and across Benue State.

One basic reality about the effective maintenance and rehabilitation of roads infrastructure is that it clearly evidences the sensitivity of any political organization on the premium it places on the safety of lives and property of the citizens who constitute tax payers and the electorate. To this extent,it becomes sine qua non to justify the claims of this essential democratic dividend by ensuring that the safe movement of people and their valuables for purposes best beneficial to them is provided guaranteed and protected by any leadership.

However,one watches with dismay the recent and daily deterioration and withering away of major township/state/federal roads in Benue State,which all have become death traps to passengers,car owners and other related road users!!!The emerging nature of dangerous potholes and wearing -off of coal tar as occasioned by the menace of erosions on such roads is indeed regrettable. Hence,this has attracted the attention close watchers like myself!!

In specific, the following major roads in Benue State urgently call on all stakeholders including the members of State Assembly,the House of Representatives,the Senators and the Executive Governor of Benue State to see to their immediate and inevitable rehabilitations as soon as it is in the interest of the public!!!:

(1) The Makurdi-Gboko Road!

(2)The rehabilitation/repairs of major potholes and tearing of Makurdi township streets and roads!

(3)The immediate rehabilitation of Makurdi to Naka road!

(4)The immediate rehabilitation major township roads and streets in Gboko,with specific reference to the Isaac Shaahu road;the Gboko to Mkar road by the junction of Union Bank ,Gboko;the Captain Downes Road by Lubona junction to Bristow roundabout;God's Time street Gboko;Gyado hotels road,Gboko among others!

(4) Rehabilitation of the Gboko to Lessel road!

(5)The rehabilitation of Makurdi to Lafia road!

(6) The rehabilitation of major streets in Katsina Ala township!

(7) More support should be given to the Hon. George Alli's proactive steps towards roads rehabilitation and reconstruction in Otukpo township!

While we look forward to the appropriate and prompt attention to this matter of public importance by all parties mentioned herewith,we pray that God Almighty lead the way!!!!
