According to 2face Idibia, Nigerians hope for a better country, but since 1999, things haven’t gotten any better.

He said, ‘The people have hoped for a better Nigeria since 1999 but things are not getting any better for the majority.  We are still where we are – poor and desperate. I will be no longer be quiet.’

The singer along with his fans, colleagues and millions of Nigerians will be protesting against the government on February 6.

That’s the same day the president Muhammadu Buhari is expected to return to office at the end of his UK vacation.

Nigerians have been petitioning for good security, education, healthcare, power, transparency in government and more for years.

So the time to speak is now and the music star emphasised as much.

‘There is enough in Nigeria for all of us to ‘chop belleful’. Enough is enough. We must put Nigeria first and keep all the greedy & selfish people away from leadership,’ 2face also said.

‘On Monday, February 6, meet me at the National Stadium (in Lagos) at 8AM and we’ll walk to the National Theatre as we state clearly and peacefully that #IStandWithNigeria and Nigeria must work for all of us and all of us must work for Nigeria.’

It has clearly been stated that the ongoing protest is not a proposal for politicians of any party to manipulate.
