The Shocking Story of Samuel Ortom in Government House Makurdi
Amazingly, some mischievous people, including Pastors, claim that I'm attacking the Ortom Government via my posts. I'm not. I have no need to. I only operate as a Prophet of God: As the voice of one crying to God for Benue State. I know that I have contributed immensely to this government but only erudite, analytical, and objective minds will understand. I don't write to please people but if you have proof that anything I post or say is False, feel free to let me know. I will CORRECT it!
The 3rd Commandment says: "YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE NAME OF YOUR GOD IN VAIN, FOR THE LORD WILL NOT HOLD HIM GUILTLESS WHO TAKES HIS NAME IN VAIN" (Exodus 20:7).
The present Benue State government has brought God's Name to nagging disrepute more than any other government in our history. Indeed, God's Name is everywhere in the corridors of power but iniquity of the bizarre is also everywhere in the same corridors. Their hearts are thinking something else and their mouths are saying something else. We have come to a point in our experience that the average Benue person doesn't want to hear any reference of God in politics! It is as bad as that. That reminds me of an Indian businessman that gave his candid view of Nigerians. He said, "Nigerians are very religious but also very ungodly." That is a fitting summary of the current APC government in the State. Very sad indeed.
The APC government in Benue State has repeated the inglorious S(election) that the immediate past administration introduced into Benue politics when Prof. Philip Ahire (A Professor for that matter) conducted the worst (S)election in Benue's political history at that time. This was when PDP won all Chairmanship and Councillorship seats in the 23 LGCs in Benue State in what was termed a very keenly contested election (at least, then a proper election was held but PDP created Benue's first POLITICAL MAGIC). The (S)election of that era remains a subject of interest to both students and teachers of Political Science.
The (S)election of June 3, 2017 (happily not June 12) has beaten Prof. Ahire's record to a distant second place. I don't want to believe that Dr. John Tsuwa belongs to THE NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN group. He is a shame! He said (or it was said in his name) that the SHAM was the most credible, free and fair election in Benue's political history(only if viewed in reverse). It was reported that APC WON BY A (TSUNAMI) LANDSLIDE (APPALLINGLY EVEN IN AREAS THAT THEY DID NOT FIELD CANDIDATES!!!). This is an amazing MAGICAL outcome that the textbooks and political conventions did not contemplate or anticipate.
Dr. John Tsuwa kept assuring people that, as a young man with a political future himself, he won't stain his name. I even advised him that if the worse comes to the worst, he should resign than announce a Kangaroo or Ostrich result! I advised him never to allow himself to be used and dumped. Time will tell. We still need to hear from him before we conclude.
The fact is that BISEC didn't conduct any election. I challenge them to allow forensic examination of the ballot papers. If I had remembered a word greater than SHAM, I would have used it!
For a Government that talks, sings, eats, and sleeps (G)god, one wonders which of the two conducted last Saturday's (S) election: god or God? I'm sure it will be unpardonable blasphemy and apostasy to associate this electoral process infinitesimally to God! When the Governor declared that it is not he but God that is governing Benue State, some of us were incensed because apart from the gangrenous lip service, nothing in Benue State resembles the presence of God: is it the potholes, the starvation and extreme hunger, the economic strangulation, the suffocating deprivation, the hopelessness, the grief, the helplessness, the unending lies, the hostage situation of the State and her people? Israel was in this kind of situation in Egypt, and when God arrived, it was evident. Their story changed for the better. Ours is worsening by the day.
When a Government claims to Trust in God but majority of its officials lives that negate, impugn, confront and belittle this God, one begins to wonder which God or god is actually the reference point. Any lifestyle or utterance that is contrary to the ethics, values, norms, and laws of the Almighty God cannot be said to belong to Him. It doesn't matter who claims it. Jesus Christ said: "You will know them BY THEIR FRUITS" (Matthew 7:20) and not by their TALK! The fruits we see from this government prove that, in reality, it is far away from the God of Heaven Who is also the God of Benue! Someone needs to prove me wrong!
Permit me to rest my case!
