Beauty Queen, Gum Adoo, winner of Finest Girl Nigeria International 2017, on Saturday,19 August 2017 paid a courtesy visit to the paramount leader of the TIV nation, Prof.James Iorzua Ayatse, Tor TIV V in Gboko, Benue state.

The beauty who was accompanied by Mr Goodman Foga, Mr Tourism, Benue Top Model Ambassadors, Miss Benue Arts and Culture, amongst others, were warmly received by the Tor TIV and his wife.

Queen Gum Adoo and her host spoke heartily on issues bothering the TIV nation and Benue state in general.

She commended the Tor TIV' for his outstanding achievements so far in impacting positively on the lives of the people in the short time that he assumed the throne. She also seized  the opportunity to congratulate the king on his coronation.

While pleading with the paramount ruler to help stop cases of early child marriage in Benue state, she however commended the efforts of the Tor TIV in trying to bring a lasting solution to the issue of high bride price in TIV land. She said such move will help young girls in the State such as her to get married on time without prospective suitors being of afraid of paying so much for bride price.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the beauty Queen who intimated the king of her pet projects she has embarked on within the State which is mostly focused on education. She also intimated the Tor Tiv of her plans to visit camps of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, very soon.

On his part, the Tor TIV commended  the Beauty Queen for visit. He acknowledged that the Finest Girl Nigeria 2017 is the most prominent and biggest Beauty Queen to emerge under his reign and he is very happy that a Benue state daughter was found worthy of the Crown.

The king used the opportunity to admonish youths to shun all vices and stereotyping that may set the TIV nation behind. 'For the Tiv nation to move forward,' the king said, 'the youths must be actively involved in reviving the culture and tradition of the Tiv Nation.'

The king promised to continue to promote the good cause of the TIV nation , The further promised that this year's TIV day celebration will be a befitting one.

Highlights of the day were  praying for the Queen Gum Adoo and her entourage with a promise to give her all of his support that he could as the paramount leader of TIV nation to help her succeed in her career.
