"God forbid that I, Samuel Ortom be handcuffed in shame at the end of my tenure as Governor of Benue State."- Ortom speaking at his wife's Birthday Thanksgiving.

"Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has declared that anyone with information of  diverted money in his administration should blow the whistle and get 5% reward. 

Governor Samuel Ortom said this while worshiping at RCCG Signs and Wonders Parish Makurdi during the Thanksgiving Service held to mark the 45th Birthday of his wife Dr Eunice Ortom.

The Governor's message posted on Facebook by James Ornguga  is below.

"If you know anywhere that my administration has diverted money,please blow the whistle and get 5% reward.

Though I'm faced with hard times today, God in Heaven who gave me this mandate shall not allow shame to swallow me; for better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.

I therefore, call on all Benue sons and daughters who are endowed with various degrees of talents to apply them for the good of the state. God forbid that I, Samuel Ortom be handcuffed in shame at the end of my tenure as Governor of Benue State."
