Gov Ortom’s aide for burial September 14

Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom

THE remains of the Principal Special Assistant to Benue State Governor on Knowledge Economy and Investment, Dr Tavershima Adyorough who was murdered last month in Makurdi by unknown gunmen will be committed to Mother Earth on September 14.

According to the statement credited to the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Terver Akase, said Dr Tavershima Adyorough will be laid to rest in his village, Mbatyough, Mbanor, Gaav in Konshisha Local Government Area on the 14th of this month.

He further said that there will be wake at his Makurdi residence on September 12 with another wake in his country home on the 13th before interment the following day.

Governor Samuel Ortom has set up a Planning Committee for the burial of Dr Adyorough which is headed by Chairman of the State Economic Team and Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Dennis Ityavyar.

The statement read in part: “The Committee also has Hon Richard Ujege, Hon Emmanuel Manger, Hon David Olofu, Professor Terhemba Shija, Mrs Ladi Ajene, Hon Saawuan Tarnongu, Dr Joseph Antyo, Mr Terver Akase and Mr Emmanuel Doughdough – Secretary. Others are Dr Joseph Ngbea, Hon Joseph Odaudu, Barrister Joseph Ahire, Mr Aondona Diwa and Adetse Adyorough.”
