Cameroon’s National Assembly Member Chief Elias Terhemen dies in Nigeria.
A member of parliament of Cameroon’s National Assembly Honourable Chief Elias Igelle Terhemen representing the Akwaya constituency in the South West Region under the ruling CPDM party has died in Nigeria following an illness.
Igelle is reported to have died at the Jos University Teaching Hospital in the neighbouring country where he went for medical attention.
The CPDM MP was serving as member of the National Defense Commission in the Lower House of Parliament.
He was serving his first mandate as parliamentarian spanning 2013 till his demise. The traditional ruler had served at the South West Governor’s office. He is a former finance controller at the Cameroon General Certificate of Education, GCE board.
The Member of Parliament is a product of Cameroon’s National School of Administration and Magistracy, ENAM with a specialty in treasury management. He also read journalism and mass communication at the University of Buea.
He occupied the throne of (Ukpam ) of Bagundu village in Akwaya sub Division. His funeral program is yet to be made public. It is the second death of an MP from the Southwest Region of the Country recently. Before Igelle it was the demise of Arthur Ekeke Lysinge of the Buea Urban constituency.
