Fayose replies EFCC, says he wouldn’t be intimidated to dump PDP

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has responded to the latest request from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) to the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, to place him on a watch list. According to the EFCC, the out-going Governor may have a plan to runaway from the country hence the request to put him under surveillance.

Reacting to the news, Fayose has said the move is not only political but very petty. The governor said he is not afraid to face what ever is hauled at him. Speaking via Twitter on Sunday, fayose said the Anti-corruption agency should expect him on October 16th, a day after he officially leaves office as governor.

He also stated that he would not be intimidated into leaving his party, the People’s Democratic Party(PDP). He also reacted to the news that a group of civil servants were protesting that, he(Fayose) spent millions of Naira to charter a plane.

He wrote:

@officialEFCC putting my name on watch list after notification of my coming is not only political but petty. I'm not among those who are afraid to face tomorrow. Nobody is God.
They should expect me on October 16, 2018.
I will remain in PDP not minding their intimidation.

Those hypocrites that are sponsoring Faceless Civil servants to raise ridiculous issue of a governor hiring aircraft to travel officially should in the absence of commercial flights in Akure Airport, travel to Abuja by Okada or Ketekete (Donkey)when they assume office in October
